Red's Best has networked many of the boats that work the waters off New England. You can see -- and eat -- what they caught yesterday.

Most of the time Red's Best works behind the scenes, providing fish to some of Boston's best restaurants and institutions.
This is their only retail operation. So you can talk to the counter staff and get a good idea what's going on out in New England's fishing waters.
I talked to a guy at Red's about their salmon. Was it farm raised? "Yes and no," he said.
The fish are farmed, it turns out, but they are raised in giant nets in a cold, clean bay up in Maine.
When I checked into it online, I discovered that Martha Stewart must have asked the same question.
