District Hall is the gateway to the Boston's Seaport District.
Because once you get over the bridge from downtown Boston, and you get this far, you can check into District Hall, relax, and recalibrate.
And it takes some re-orientation because the entire area is under construction. What's really open? Once you get as far as District Hall, you can settle into a comfortable chair, tap into the free wifi, and figure out where you want to go from here.
Do you want to venture further on to Drydock Avenue, and check out some of the designer-y stuff down there?
Or just hang around the waterfront?
Or just stay put. District Hall is not a bad place to chill. It's low key, not-for-profit: funded by the Venture Café Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit.
It's got a mission: "to broaden, connect, and support the innovation community through a public network of spaces and programs to help anyone with an idea succeed."
Who's not down with that?

While you're there, check out the District Hall Mixed Reality Challenge. (That's why this is in the Play section.)
Here's a link to the official Mixed Reality Challenge page for Fab@CIC, the other location.
